BFP (Big Fat Positive)!!!!

The doctor here in Brussels just called and let me know that may Beta#1 was 189 and #2 was 483!!!! It is official, we are pregnant!

But there is more:)

Because I refused to wait any longer, I decided to buy a home pregnancy test on it came back positive on Friday, the 25th.
The official beta numbers would be great though...

Way behind….

So, as I was saying, we decided to try our luck with IVF one more time. We took of from Frankfurt on April 23rd, with the 24th being our very first appointment back at Walter Reed National Medical Center (what a mouthful…I liked Bethesda better). First things first, the meds:

I knew there were going to lots of needles and I actually ended up getting more, but OMG what a bunch of boxes, huh?

I should've taken pictures of my bruised belly after 5 days of given myself two shots twice daily. I started off with 20 unites of Lurpon twice daily as well as150 iu of Gonal F and 75 iu Menopur in the PM. On day 4 of stims I increased my Menopur to 150 iu and moved the Gonal F to the AM. 

10 days of stemming and that was it, on May 9th the wonderful docs retrieved a whopping 19 eggs. While my E2 was a little high again, this time I stayed below 4000 and had only mild bloating. Of the 19 eggs, 15 were mature and they were able to fertilize 9 with ICSI. 

On Mat 14th, we did a 5 day transfer of one excellent blast and froze 2. One more was frozen the next day, so we have 3 frosties!!!

May 19th we flew back to Frankfurt and then drove back to Brussels, wondering what happened to the last 4 weeks.

As instructed I had my blood drawn for a HCG (Pregnancy test) on May 23rd, however since our clinic here in Brussels is so small they have to send it out to be analyzed. Since a positive results requires me to retake the test 2 days later, I had my blood drawn yet again (can't get enough of needles your see) on the 25th. That's when I found out that both samples would be send to Landstuhl, Germany on Tuesday, the 30th. Let the waiting continue...
